is located on 275 acres nestled in the pine woods of southwest Arkansas. It is about two hours south of Little Rock and two hours northeast of Shreveport, Louisiana. The Old Place is owned and operated by Dr. Jim and Lynda McCall. Dr. Jim McCall with a Ph.D in equine reproduction has been designing and managing breeding farms for major universities since 1962. In 1990, together with his wife, Lynda, the McCalls opened their own breeding and training farm. Today, The Old Place is recognized as one of Arkansas' premier breeding farms. In addition to standing stallions, the farm accepts mare for breeding with shipped semen and has a reputation for breeding problem mares. The farm also offers embryo transfer in association with Ron Nash, D.V.M.
